What to do when a central system suddenly fails - just before the seasonal business starts?

This scenario occurred at one of our customers - just a few months before the start of the plant overwintering season. What followed was not an emergency solution - but a real opportunity. Together with the customer, we developed a complex web application in just a few months that redefined the entire overwintering process.

Instead of Excel lists, forms and distributed communication, we now have:
→ Direct online order entry by the customer
→ Route planning with capacity utilisation control
→ Seamless documentation of every plant, including care steps & photos

What was previously divided into many individual steps now runs centrally and error-free.
The application is precisely tailored to the customer's processes: decentralised in reception, centralised in control.

What the application does:

• Direct order entry by customers via the web platform
• Automatic price calculation & quotation
• Route planning with capacity utilisation control
• ERP connection (Bison) for master data transfer and invoicing
• Complete documentation of all work steps - from collection to delivery
• Plant dossier for each plant incl. photo and condition documentation

• Recording of care services (pruning, repotting, pest treatment, etc.)
• Mobile use via smartphone or tablet, directly at the customer's plant collection point or in the garden centre

Developed as a progressive web app based on Laravel - with ERP connection, label printing, customer communication and smart user guidance. Fully implemented in-house by our digital team.
And best of all: the solution was up and running in time for the season.
